Brewer’s Bounty

CONCLUDED

A ~100-year-old puzzle hunt was “discovered” in Philly! It seems that America’s first lager brewer, John Wagner, created eight puzzles that, when solved together, unlock a hidden treasure. Thanks to curious modern-day brewers and purveyors of beer, I managed to collect them all and turn Wagner’s puzzle hunt into a public event with the help of BrewedAt!

We believed Wagner’s intention was to share his love of beer with all Philadelphians. So our goal with Brewer’s Bounty was to let everyone experience the thrill of cracking Wagner’s puzzles—while enjoying discounts at the locations involved in the mystery. Anyone who submitted the final password by the end of the event was rewarded with a share of the “treasure.”
